Quixotic United is an independent film collaborative led by writer-director Patrick Skeyhill, producing narrative shorts, features, and vertical series since 2011.
Our mission is to create and distribute work that reveals the hidden magic within everyday life. Finding these secret realities brings people closer to the world they inhabit, and to the people they share it with. We seek transparency and audience participation in the making of our projects — in a modern, quasi-magical age, there's no need for a gap between producer and consumer. We strive to blur the line between artist and audience.
Quixotic United was founded in 2011 by writer-director Patrick Skeyhill. What began as a thesis film has grown into an ongoing collaborative, built around a small, rotating crew of specialists who write and produce work in-house — as well as for outside musicians and screenwriters.
Patrick Skeyhill is a director and writer working across narrative film, experimental shorts, and episodic vertical series. He founded Quixotic United in 2011 while still a student, producing the short film "Breathfull" as its first release.
He has since directed more than a dozen shorts, a feature, and several vertical series — working across genres from horror and romance to comedy and hybrid documentary, alongside earning an MFA in Film Production from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in 2022.
Based in Los Angeles, Patrick now splits his time between several projects moving through every stage of the pipeline, and continues to work with a small crew of longtime collaborators on every project.

Studying photography in college has helped Alberto fit into his role of cinematographer and has brought a unique visual palette and skill set to complement Mr. Skeyhill's. Passionate about the art of visual storytelling, he relishes the challenge of transitioning between still photography and motion picture and is eager to show how the two can influence each other.
